Scotty Brooks Bruggeworth began his equestrian pursuits at the age of 4 in Leadline. Shortly after, he began riding Huntseat and continued progressing in that discipline for a couple of years. At seven years old, Scotty was honored for being the youngest Dressage rider on the Southern Jersey circuit in 2008. It was on Greenholmes Veronica that he showed that way at the Octoberfest Horse Show in 2008 and garnered a win and Championship that Fall. In June of 2009, Scotty made the change to Saddleseat at the Jersey Classic winning his first time. He went on to the Syracuse International and won both his classes there as well. Soon it was on to the Children's Benefit  Horse Show  where he won both classes as well and then Scotty ventured to the World' Championships in August. In that difficult contest, Scotty was awarded a Reserve Worl'd Championship in the 8 and Under division. There was a panel of three judges and one of them chose him as first place! Scotty was riding the very special mare The Lucky Charm. Sadly Charm was sold this winter to another young rider so that Scotty could have a more challenging mount. He has acquired that mount with the purchase of the 3-gaited mare Our Embraceable Lady, for Christmas! We wish Scotty and Lady the best of luck next season in the 10 and Under Walk and Trot division!
