Presenting Ate van de Wittewijk...

Ate competed for the first time as a three year old at the prestigious Devon Horse Show in Devon, Pennsylvania. He won the Championship competition in a field of 10 seasoned Friesian horses. That debut set the tone for the remainder of his three and four year-old career. Under the direction of Melissa Moore of Sunrise Stables in Lexington, Kentucky, Ate’s reputation as an exquisite contender with extreme animation grew to legendary status. After two stellar years as a nearly unbeatable competitor, the decision to sell Ate while he was winning consistently was made. The process was swift as many eyes were following the young horse’s show record. It was not long before Janna Goldman of Black Sterling Friesians chose Ate as her personal show horse and to hopefully follow in the footsteps of her show star and namesake of her own farm, Black Sterling. The sale was finalized in October of 2004. Ate Van De Wittewijk relocated to the west coast to continue his winning ways. He has competed successfully for a season with his new owner. Janna has also expressed interest in Friesian Season’s future stock.
